Hello!

As many of you know Gala Phoenix is currently involved in a dispute over the copyright of Curio Skins which have resulted in her content being removed from the grid.
The Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) process in Second Life requires that when there is legal action taken against your content, Linden Lab will remove it from the grid until a ruling is made.
She is facing serious expenses in securing representation and taking her case to court. Those issues regarding intellectual property rights should concern anyone who makes a living from SL content creation. Because of that, some of Gala's friends and content creators decided to create the Gala Fundraiser to help raise funds for Gala's legal fees and  also take a stand for the community of content creators, which for many of whom SL is their main source of income.

It's not about taking sides as many may think, it's about the truth and real rights. Anyone could be facing a situation like this and it could easily ruin someone's life, real life.
We need to stand together and fight back to ensure that it doesn’t happen to anyone anymore.
